You cried, I didn't hear you,
You pleaded, I didn't share
You touched me, but did I feel it,
You died, but did I care?

I taught, my so called wisdom,
I gave, but not my heart,
I revelled in self made glory,
I played, but just a part.

My life, I called it living,
My world, called it my own,
My view, so very narrow,
My way, so much alone.
